Designer Eileen Fisher Celebrates Women Entrepreneurs With $125,000 in Grants

The tenth annual Eileen Fisher Business Grant Program for Women Entrepreneurs will reward women-owned businesses who are contributing to the economic growth of their communities and value healthy environments. Up to 10 grants of at least $12,500 will be awarded. The program is open to for-profit businesses that are wholly owned by women. Recipients will receive a grant and also be recognized at a conference in New York City.

Eileen Fisher is well known for her elite line of women's clothing. She is also an entrepreneur who knows how tough it is to own your own business. For the past 10 years, she has been paying her success forward by helping other women entrepreneurs with grants.

The program began in 2004 and has since awarded over $550,000 in grants to women. The focus of the grants is to not only recognize women-owned businesses but honor those businesses who have impacted their communities in a positive way, are socially-conscious and also passionate about sustaining the environment for future generations.

As Ms. Fisher explains, "These companies deserve recognition as role models for the way that they create inventive approaches to working harmoniously with the planet and one other. We at Eileen Fisher are honored to support them in their journeys."

Eligible businesses have until May 31, 2014 to submit their applications for a grant.
