Applications Open for Business Grants from Georgia-Pacific Foundation

Georgia-Pacific Foundation
The Georgia-Pacific Foundation awards grants to businesses whose projects positively impact a community where they have a GP manufacturing facility. The company has locations in about 34 states with multiple facilities in some states. This presents a great opportunity for women-owned businesses to find funding for their companies.

To be eligible for a grant, the business focus must be in education, the environment, entrepreneurship or the enrichment of the community. These are the areas that have been targeted for grants by the foundation. There is no specific dollar amount specified for grant requests. The amount will be dependent on the amount requested, the value of the services, and the amount of funding available.

Examples of companies that may qualify for grant support are job training services, clean air and water initiatives, recycling programs, environmental education, youth enrichment programs, affordable housing programs, arts and culture, safety, and programs for women and minority entrepreneurs.

The Georgia-Pacific Foundation is the charitable arm of Georgia-Pacific, a leading manufacturer and marketers of tissue, packaging, paper, pulp, building products and chemicals. They are headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
