The Collins Foundation
The Collins Foundation awards grants to non-profit organizations and agencies residing in the state of Oregon whose work directly benefits the residents of Oregon. All individuals regardless of sex, race, color, national origin, religion, age and disability are encouraged to apply.

Approved projects can include children and youth programs, arts, or community and/or welfare programs that benefit low-income, homeless, seniors, people with disabilities, victims of domestic violence, and more. Other eligible programs include education, environment, and health and science. Humanities programs are also eligible. These are programs that promote literacy, writing and language.

Each application for a grant must include a cover letter, executive summary (description of the project), details of activities, amount requested, operating budget, and plans for ongoing sustainability. Grants can range anywhere from $2,500 up to $100,000.

The Collins Foundation is a private, family foundation that endeavors to serve people in urban and rural communities throughout the state of Oregon. The foundation is based in Portland. The Collins Foundation is the philanthropic arm of The Collins Companies, a family-owned forest products company that began in 1855 in Portland.
